Stabbed youth found near in-law' house 11 days after marriage

A youth was today found with a stab wound in his throat behind his in-laws' house in Nadia district, barely 11 days after his marriage, police said.

Local people found Achab Ali Seikh (25) lying in a pool of blood behind the house of his father-in-law Samchhur Seikh at Bhaluka under Kotwali police station.

He was hospitalised in a serious condition.

Achab had married Samchhur's daughter Kohinoor on November 25.

Achab had come to his father-in-law's home last night for the first time after marriage.

Police detained Kahinoor, her father and brother Amir Hussain for interrogation.

The motive was yet to be clear, police said.
