Stefani was last person I expected to have my back: Shelton

Country singer Blake Shelton says he and Gwen Stefani had "some trust issues" initially as they both were coming out of failed relationships.

The 39-year-old said Stefani was the last one he expected to hold on to after Miranda Lambert split, reported US magazine.

"Of all the people, she was the last person I expected to step out of the crowd and be the one to have my back, and be there and be the shoulder and be the one to fight that fight with me, getting back on my feet, and out of nowhere, there she was," Shelton said.
 

Stefani, 46, also split from husband Gavin Rossdale last year.
