Citing various reasons of neglect, Karaikal Struggle Group (KSG), a non-political organization fighting for separate Union Territory Status for Karaikal, has threatened to stage a protest in front of the Independence Day celebrations' venue here tomorrow.
Convenor of the KSG, S P Selvashanmugam alleged that that the Puducherry government was neglecting Karaikal and it was time the region was accorded separate Union Territory Status.
"To register our protest against the acts of neglect and to reiterate our demand for separate Union Territory status for Karaikal, we will go in procession to the venue and stage road blockade tomorrow morning," he told reporters here today.
