Sugar millgate prices eased by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today due to weak demand amid selling pressure from mills.
Marketmen said besides reduced buying by stockists and bulk consumers, increased supplies from mills mainly brought down sweetener prices.
In the millgate section, sugar Asmoli, Dhanora and Simbholi moved down by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,780, Rs 3,750 and Rs 3,780 per quintal.
Prices of Baghpat, Nazibabad and Modinagar also eased by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,760, Rs 3,740 and Rs 3,720 per quintal.
