Sugar prices rule steady on ample supply

Sugar prices ruled steady at the Vashi Wholesale market here today due to lack of demand from stockists on the back of improved supply prospects.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,192/3,291 (Rs 3,192/3,291).

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,062/3,135 (Rs 3,062/3,135).
