Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today directed all senior civil and administration officials to observe punctuality in office and resolve maximum public issues on the spot.
Badal passed the directions during a grievance redressal programme here, asking the administration officials to ensure maximum sittings in their offices so that the public issues could be resolved.
He asked the heads of government departments to personally deal with complicated issues.
He exhorted the netizens to avail various helpline launched by the state government for registration of complaints.
At the programmer, Badal resolved more than 73 complaints on the spot by issuing necessary directions to the officers concerned, officials said.
Badal said laxity in providing public services and justice to the aggrieved parties would not be tolerated at any cost.
He also asked the senior police officials to ensure completion of enquiries pending in their respective offices.
