: A local court today issued summons to comedian Vadivelu for his alleged defamatory statement against the Nadigar Sangam during a press meet held at Madurai.
The summons was issued by Judicial Magistrate I here on a defamation petition filed by 'Auto' Raja,District Executive member of the South Indian Film Artistes Association,who said that vadivelu's alleged statement that "the Association is missing and stolen" had caused him considerable anguish.
The magistrate directed Vadivelu to appear in the court on Nov 27.
