Lighting firm and pipe manufacturer Surya Roshni today forayed into the home appliances market, and aims to have a turnover of Rs 200 crore from the segment within 2-3 years.
The company has launched 15 products under five categories as water heater, room Heater, dry iron, steam iron and mixer-grinders, in the first phase of expansion, Surya Roshni said in a statement.
Surya Roshni, a Rs 4,000 crore group, would retail home appliances products through pan India network of its channel partners and two lakh retailers, it said.
Surya Roshni Managing Director Raju Bista said: "The company is confident that the Surya retailer network, across the country, will promote appliances with the same enthusiasm as they have done for Lighting and Fans and make Surya a truly household electrical products company."
He said designs, affordability, durability and safety would be the key factor for its home appliances product.
"Appliances segment will also achieve the same level of success as in fans and Company will achieve target of about Rs 200 Crore in 2-3 years period from appliances business," Bista added.
The Company has recently forayed into the light emitting diode (LED) and fan Segment. It exports products to 44 countries including Europe & America.
