T20 cricket tournament for government school students

The 11-day Paul George Memorial cricket tournament was inaugurated by former India cricketer and selector, Yashpal Sharma at St. George's School, Alaknanda here.
As many as 128 students from eight Delhi government schools will be participating in this Under-16 Twenty20 cricket. The final will be played on October 27, a release said.
"With this tournament, we aim to create a platform for the government school students, give them an opportunity to showcase their talent and see them rise to the occasion of becoming players of the state if not country," M.G George Muthoot, Chairman, Muthoot Group said.
Chief Guest Yashpal Sharma said, "The tournament is a great platform for all the students present here and one must utilise this opportunity to prove themselves and their talent."
