An education conference 'Taleem-o-Tarbiyat', the skill development program in computer training and designing and a financial literacy Workshop for the minority and underprivileged sections of the society, was today held here at the Swatantrata Bhawan of Banaras Hindu University.
Over 4000 students participated in the proceedings where distinguished personalities and experts from education, banking, army, finance, investment, information technology, business and other related fields spoke and conducted the workshop.
Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, ZafarSareshwala said the agenda behind the initiative is to encourage different communities, especially Muslims, to get equipped with knowledge and skill through education.

"We wanteveryone in the country to be educated and this can be possible through 'Taleem' and 'Tarbiyat'. SinceMuslims are the most socio-economicallybackward community in the country, I urge the the youth, especially girls, to engage with the government and take benefit of its diverse welfare schemes," he said.
"We want to start this as a movement and develop awareness among the masses about the unlimited possibilities that a goodTaleemoffers and the huge number of schemes and incentives available both through the central and state governments," Sareshwala said.
