The Urban Services Department of private steel major Tata Steel today organised a walk themed 'Save Water, Electricity and Environment' as part of its mass awareness program.
A team of more than 100 people walked around the slums of the city and nearby areas holding placards and banners on various environmental issues, including water and electricity conservation.
The team also distributed pamphlets on 'No Use of Plastic,' a Tata Steel release said.

Head, Special Projects and Urban Services, G M Sharan, and R S Pandey, Senior Manager, Urban Services, Tata Steel took part in the initiative, it said.
Urban Services in its endeavour to create awareness on various social and environmental issues would plan year-long programmes and activities across the city of Jamshedpur on these issues, the release added.
