A teacher of a private school in Chhattisgarh's Durg district was today arrested for allegedly molesting girl students, police said.
Hindi teacher RP Dwivedi of the private school located in Risali Sector of Bhilai under Newai police station limits was arrested based on the complaint by the school principal, a police officer told PTI.
As per the complaint, the teacher was molesting some girls of class VII since past one month.

The accused allegedly touched the girls inappropriately and made obscene remarks to them, he said.
The parents of some girl students had filed a written complaint against the teacher with the school principal after which the principal today lodged FIR against the accused, said the officer.
A case under relevant sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered, the officer said, adding investigation was underway.
