Teenage girl, boy commit suicide in Bharatpur district

A teenage girl and youth, who reportedly were lovers, today allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves with a single plastic rope from a tree at Charliganj village of Bharatpur district, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Bhuri Thakur (18), and Surendra Thakur (22), police said.

Villagers spotted the bodies hanging from a tree in an agriculture field of Charliganj this morning around 7 am and informed the police.

The boy was preparing for a military examination, police said, adding, they were reportedly in love affair.

The bodies were handed over their parents after postmortem, they said.
