The girl from South-24 Paragana was rescued from G B Road yesterday on a tip off provided by an NGO 'Shakti Vahini' after the victim's father approached them, Devesh Srivastava, Additional Commissioner of Police (Central), said.
The girl told the police that she was lured by a youth who promised to marry her and brought her to Delhi.
"But instead of marrying her, the boy sold the girl in the redlight area," he said.
