A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two persons here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when the girl was walking towards Friends Colony on GT road.
The accused overpowered her and dragged her to a secluded place where they took turns to rape her. The duo fled the spot after committing the crime, leaving behind the girl.
Locals rushed the girl to a nearby hospital and informed the police.
Police recorded the girl's statement and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
The accused, who were not immediately identified, were arrested and booked under relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
