Telangana CM condoles death of former Lok Sabha Speaker

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today condoled the death of former Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee

In a message, Rao described the former speaker as a great parliamentarian and a person who conducted the lower house with highest standards.

He recalled that Chatterjee as speaker gave ample time to him to express his views during the agitation for a separate Telangana.

The Communist veteran passed away at a private hospital in Kolkata this morning following multiple organ failure.
