Tenant dupes landlord by promising son job at Delhi hospital

Press Trust of India Ghaziabad
A property dealer today alleged that his tenant duped him of Rs four lakh on the pretext of getting his son a job at a government hospital in Delhi, police said.

Based on landlord Rakesh Gupta's complaint, a case under Sector 420 of the IPC has been registered against Ajay Chaturvedi, who was living on rent at the former's house in Sahibabad for past seven-eight months.

In his complaint, Gupta alleged that Ajay promised his 23-year-old son Nitin a job as fourth class staff in the nursing section of the Delhi hospital and took Rs 4 lakh.

"After taking the money, Ajay gave an appointment letter to the father and son, who then approached the hospital authorities. The authorities refused to give Nitin a job.

"On reaching home, the two victims found that Ajay had fled away with the money," a senior police officer said.

"We have launched a manhunt to nab Ajay and would soon be going to his native place to get leads about his location," he added.
