Three children drown in pond at Lakhanwas village

Three children drowned while bathing in a pond at Lakhanwas village in the district today, a police official said.

Police sub-inspector Anil Raghuvanshi said that the trio, identified as Deepak Rajput (15), Sunil Vishwakarma (13) and Lalit Vishwakarma (10) drowned while bathing in the pond.

The police along with the villagers fished out their bodies from the pond and sent them for autopsy, he said, adding that a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
