Three persons were injured, one of them seriously, when they were attacked by a bear in Belpahari area of West Midnapore district today, forest officials said.
The injured have been identified as Kamal Mandi of Hathidoba village and Chunaram Soren and Panchanan Murmu of Baksole village, they said.
They have been admitted to Jhargam hospital.
A Forest department team has rushed to the area with nets and other equipments to catch the bear, which has strayed from Dalma forest.
