Three school children drowned in a water tank at Osman Nagar here this afternoon, police said.
The deceased boys, std eighth students of a private school in Shahin Nagar area, drowned at around 3 pm.
Police said that one of them slipped and began to go under and the other two tried to help him but drowned themselves.
"All the three bodies have been retrieved," Inspector D Bhasker Reddy said.
Further investigation is on.
