Despite a squall accompanied by thundershowers in parts of Rajasthan, Jhalawar today sweltered with the maximum temperature of 44.6 degrees C.
Light drizzles occurred at Pilani, Barmer and Sriganganagar due to a local upper air circulation of winds and clouds, but the maximum temperature in entire state was above 40 degrees C, a MeT official said.
Kota recorded a maximum temperature of 43.3 degrees C followed by Barmer 43.1, Chittorgarh 42.6, Churu 42.4, Sriganganagar 42 and Jaipur 41.7 degrees C.
