TMC panchayat samity member shot dead

A Trinamool Congress Panchayat Samity member in South 24 Parganas district was tonight shot dead by unidentified gunmen, police sources said.

Razzak Sarkar (37), the Bhangore I Panchayat Samity member, was talking to some persons at a shop near Bhangore when the assailants fired at him at around 9 pm, the sources said.

Sarkar was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, sources added.
