Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah tonight condoled the death of former Sikkim Governor and senior Bharatiya Janata Party Ventrapragada Rama Rao.
"He fought for the cause of working class and trade unions during the start of his career as a lawyer. He was an active member of the follor of Legislative Council and raised several public issues. His death is an irreparable loss to the nation and to the people of Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Sikkim in particular".
"I convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved members of the family and pray to god to rest his soul in peace", Rosaiah said in his condolence message.
Rama Rao (81) died at a private hospital in Hyderabad following illness. He was appointed as the Sikkim Governor in 2002.
