Toddler drowns in pond

A two-year-old child today drowned in a pond near his house at Baghilo village here, police said.

The victim, Som Prakash Nath, slipped into the pond which is located in the backyard of his house, police said.

The child was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead, police added.
