The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) today launched a gender sensitisation programme to ensure that its drivers and conductors behave properly with women passengers.
A protocol, mentioning Do's & Don'ts, to be followed by drivers and conductors of DTC was also released by Ramakant Goswami, Minister of Transport, Delhi Government, who inaugurated the training programme at DTC Training School, Nand Nagri Complex.
Goswami stressed on the need of sensitising DTC crew and checking staff for a proper behaviour with the women passengers.

"This training module has been developed after considering the feed back received from women passengers and DTC crew," said Goswami.
The minister appreciated the efforts of DTC and NGO Modi Care Foundation for developing the training module for gender sensitisation which includes presentation, lectures and games among others.
"The training will be imparted to all the drivers and conductors of DTC within a period of six months. The training will be a one-day programme devoted to gender sensitisation," said a DTC official.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday have been fixed to impart training to different batches of drivers and conductors, said the official.
