Trinamool Congress today urged all political parties opposed to the Land Bill to join a march to the Rashtrapati Bhavan from Parliament House to register their protest.
The leader of the TMC parliamentary party in the Rajya Sabha Derek O'Brien, told PTI, "All parties who are opposed to the Land Bill are being requested to join this symbolic protest from Parliament to Rashtraparti Bhavan, sometime early next week".

The contentious Bill was yesterday passed in the Lok Sabha after the government carried out nine amendments to it and persuaded most of its allies to support it, setting the stage for its consideration in Rajya Sabha where the numbers are loaded against the government.
Congress, Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, RJD and BJD had walked out of the House while NDA ally Shiv Sena had abstained as the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Amendment) Bill 2015 was passed by voice vote.
