Tutor arrested for assaulting minor girl

A 19-year-old tutor has been arrested for the alleged sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl at northeast Delhi's Seelampur area, police said today.

The incident came to light when a police team visited a girls' school in the area, as part of its Operation Nirbheek, and the 10-year-old girl broke down during counselling.

The accused, identified as Sonu, used to provide coaching after school hours.

He was booked under relevant sections of POCSO Act and arrested immediately, police said.
