Two arrested with 2 kgs cannabis

Two persons have been arrested for allegedly possessing about 2 kgs cannabis here, police said today.

After receiving a tip off, police laid a trap and arrested one Munna Pandit and his aide, Ishwar Singh, yesterday on the outskirts of the city, they said.

Two packets of cannabis, weighing 1.52 kg and 444 grams were recovered from them, police said, adding, a case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against them and further investigations are on.
