Two brothers drown in Reasi stream

Two brothers drowned in a stream while taking bath in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

19-year-old Jaffar Hussain and Arshad Hussain (20) were returning from school in Malikot village yesterday when they decided to take a bath in the stream, a police officer said.

However, one of them started drowning and to save him the other bother jumped into the stream, he said.

Both of them drowned in the deep waters of the stream.

Attempts by police and locals to save them proved futile and they were pulled out dead from the waters.
