Two children found dead near village pond

Two children were found dead near a pond in in Dilpatipur village in Pisavan area here, police said today.

Cousins Alok (5) and Nitin (7) had gone out to play but did not return home. Their bodies were found yesterday evening near the pond.

The cause of their death has not been ascertained.

An FIR has been registered in this regard and police is probing the matter.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
