Two Forest officials killed in accident

Two officials of Forest department were killed while a villager sustained serious injury after their motorcycles collided near Raghunathpur forest guest house in Seraikela-Kharswan district today.

Ranger Krishna Kumar and Forester Chandreshwar Singh were on their way for inspection of ongoing plantation in a motorcycle when a two-wheeler from opposite direction hit them, said Divisional Forest Officer, Seraikela, Dr V Bhaskaran said.

Bhaskaran said Singh was killed on the spot under the impact of the collision while Kumar suffered critical injury and was rushed to Nimdih Health centre, where doctors referred him to Tata Main Hospital here.

Kumar, however, succumbed to his injuries in course of treatment.
 

The villager, who also suffered serious injuries, was rushed to government-run M G M Hospital here where he was admitted.
