A youth along with his friend was arrested for allegedly bludgeoning his aunt to death with a hammer in a failed robbery attempt at her house in southwest Delhi's Dwarka sub-city.
The accused have been identified as Rohit (23) and Rahul (19), police said.
On Tuesday, Rohit (23) went to the residence of his aunt Susheela Devi at Bagdola village in Dwarka with his friend Rahul (19) where the duo attacked her with a hammer, police said.

When the woman collapsed, the youths tried to break her almirah's lock but failed, police said, adding the duo soon fled the spot.
The incident came to light after the woman's son, Neeraj, returned home. She was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead, police said.
On inspection of the house, the police found three plates, with food served in them, left untouched. This clue suggested that the accused was someone known, they said.
Neeraj told police that had learned from his mother that Rohit was to come to their residence on Tuesday, following which, Rohit was picked up for questioning, police said.
"Rohit confessed to have committed the crime with the help of his friends Rahul and Sonu. While Rahul was tracked down soon, efforts are on to nab Sonu," DCP (Southwest) Surender Kumar said, adding the weapon of offence have also been recovered.
