Two youths were arrested today and country-made-pistols and live cartridges were recovered from them, police said.
The arrests were made by the city crime branch unit from Shivaji Garden locality. Police seized two pistols from their possession. An offence has been registered at Bhadrakali police station, a release quoting Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime), Sachin Gore said.
On a tip off that youths -- Rakesh Pingale (23), resident of Korenagar in Dhule and Vishal Sounde (24), resident of Mahalaxmi chawl in the city were coming at Shivaji Garden to deal in said arms, the police team laid a trap and recovered firearms and arrested the duo, the release added.
