Two killed as truck falls into gorge

Two persons were killed and another was injured after a truck carrying them fell into a deep gorge in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district.

The mishap occurred late last night near Silangi village on Sonla-Maikhura motor road, District Disaster Management Centre said here today.

The deceased have been identified as Ramesh Chandra from Chamoli in Uttarakhand and Saurabh from Saharanpur.

Another Saharanpur resident, Arjun Singh, who was injured in the mishap, is being treated at a government hospital in Karnaprayag.
