Two Maoists held, Maoist camp destroyed

Acting on a tip off, the security forces comprising the Special Task Force(STF), CRPF and Munger police raided a Maoist camp in Paisra hills and destroyed the camp before nabbing two hardcore Maoist, identified as B Koda and Chamru Koda, Superintendent of Police (SP) P Kannan said.

A musket, four ammunition, blankets, utensils, tarred canvas and naxal literature were seized from the camp, he said.

The Maoist were wanted in dozen cases of naxal violence in Dharhara and Kharagpur police station areas in the district, Kannan who led the operation against the Maoists, said, adding they were being questioned by the security forces.
