Two MMC employees dismissed from service for fraud

Two employees of Muzaffarnagar Medical College have been dismissed from service for allegedly cheating two Andhra Pradesh-based doctors of Rs one crore, promising them MD (Doctor of Medicine) seats in the college here.
Medical college worker Amit Tyagi and his wife Umeshi, a librarian, have been dismissed from service by the college authorities yesterday after their involvement in the MD seat scam came to light, authorities said today.
Andhra Pradesh-based doctors Pradeep Kirshan Murthi and Chandra Mohili had been promised seats in the college by a gang of five persons for Rs one crore. The duo, however, realised they were cheated when no seats were alloted to them.
A case of cheating has been registered against the five accused, including Tyagi and Umeshi, and a probe is on to nab them, police said.
