East Godavari Collector H Arun Kumar today said University of California, Berkeley (UCB) plans to extended the 'smart village project' started in Mori village, to58 villages in Razole constituency in the district.
The collector along with UC Berkeley professor Solomon Darwin and other team members visited the Mori smart village, which was undertaken by the varsity team for its over all development.
They also visited Razole constituency where the university is planning to extend the project in 58 villages of there and also sought help from the district administration in this regard.
Villagers from Mori are also willing to take part in the project, the collector said as he gave a presentation on it along with the university team.
