Unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 89.69 lakh and 49.530 gms gold were today seized from two persons here, police said.
The Hindupur rural police intercepted a car proceeding towards Bengaluru this morning at Kodikonda check post, inspector J Sivanarayana told PTI.
The duo travelling in the car, identified as Kamal and Roshan Zameer (both businessmen) from Kurnool district, had apparently collected the money from their various customers in Adoni and Emmiganur.
However, they could not produce any evidence accounting for the money, the police official said.
The money has been handed over to the income tax department, he added.
