Principal Secretary in Ministry of Food Processing and Industry, Ranglal Jamuda, today asked Tamil Nadu Agricultural University to improve the research and infrastructural facilities.
Jamuda was here as part of three-day visit to Tamil Nadu to take stock of the situation of various facilities in the department of food processing, a TNAU release said today.
The official asked the university to create more research facilities so that the students would be motivated to take up research activities, it said.
Jamuda was taken round the university by Vice-Chancellor, Dr K Ramasamy and other senior officials and reviewed the functioning of Integrated Crop Management Centre, Post Harvest Technology Centre and other important research centres, the release added.
