Press Trust of India Mumbai
Mumbai and some other parts of Maharashtra today experienced unseasonal rains which brought down temperatures, but posed threat to agriculture crops.

People in the financial capital thronged Marine Drive seafront to soak in the drizzle, which caught the Mumbaikars unawares.

The MeT Department has forecast moderate rains in the city tomorrow and light showers on Tuesday.

Nashik district in North Maharashtra was also lashed by showers, causing threat to grapes which are now at harvesting stage.

Onion and other crops may also get damaged, causing further hardship to farmers, who are yet to receive Government compensation for losses suffered due to hailstorms last year.

The unseasonal rains also have potential to damage the mango flowers and newly-formed fruits.

According to reports received in Nashik, rains lashed Shirdi, Bahata, Shrirampur and Kopargaon areas of Ahmednagar district, putting at risk wheat, grape and green pea crops.

Pune, Thane district and some other parts of the state also received rains.
