US envoy calls on AP CM, lauds 'good environment' in state

: US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here today as part of his day-long visit to the state capital Amaravati.

The chief minister briefed the Ambassador about the Real-Time Governance system, e-Pragati and other information technology-enabled initiatives being used for governance in the state, a release from the chief minister's office said.

Naidu also explained about infrastructure development in the state, particularly solar power, and the states top ranking in Ease of Doing Business, it said.

The Ambassador, the release said, informed the chief minister that US companies were looking towards Andhra Pradesh with interest because of the prevailing "good environment."

"You created a good ecosystem in the state.You created a multi-player effect providing good aspirations among people of Andhra Pradesh in employment opportunities. You are good people to work with," the Ambassador was quoted as saying.

 

Later, accompanied by the US Consul General Katherine Hadda, the Ambassador visit Amaravati village and went round the museum and the 'Maha Chaitchya Sthupa,' a Buddhist relic.

Juster also visited the famous Undavalli Caves in the capital region.
