A Village Administrative Officer who eloped with a minor girl, whom he later married, has been arrested, police said here today.
Chandramohan (33), a resident of Attur who was also running tuition classes for class 10th and 12th standard students, enticed the 17-year-old girl and took her to Bangalore where he married her, they said.
The police on the basis of the complaint filed by the girl's mother, deputed a team to Bangalore which traced Chandramohan there and arrested him recently.
The girl's family had opposed the relation and even the marriage.
The girl was sent to medical examination and later to juvenile observatory home.
