Veteran CPI(M) leader Krish Kant Verma passes away

Veteran CPI(M) leader Krishna Kant Verma today died of prolonged illness at his residence in Kishangarh of Ajmer district, party sources said here.

He was 89 years.

Popularly called "Babuji", Verma has donated his body to the medical college, CITU state president Ravindra Shukla said.

The body would be taken to JLN Government Hospital in Ajmer tomorrow, Shukla said.

Party's flags in all of its state offices were flying at half mast after the sad demise of the leader, Shukla said.

Several Communist leaders, including Basudeo, V S Rana and Amraram, and Rajendra Saiwal of Janwadi Writer Association condoled the death of Babuji.
