Village panchayats in Telangana collect over Rs 20 cr in tax

Village panchayats in Telangana have received a revenue of over Rs 20 crore in the last four days through collection of property tax with demonetised currency notes.

The Panchayati Raj department started collection of property tax with the demonetised notes on November 11, said a state government release here.
