A group of villagers today blocked traffic on the Mathura-Agra National Highway 2 for over an hour after a family from a nearby place was allegedly assaulted by the staff of a toll plaza, police said.
Dinesh, a resident of Jhandipur village, along with his family members was travelling in a car to Mathura to attend a funeral service. An argument erupted between the Mahuvan toll plaza staff and the family over payment of toll charges, Dy SP S S Yadav said.
The staff allegedly hit a youth in private parts, who fell unconscious and assaulted other members of the family, he said.
