Villagers stage road roko

Villagers here today staged a road roko demanding that government give relief assistance of Rs 5000 to each family affected in the recent rains.

Inspector R Venugopal said at Sathipattu village near Panruti, protesters tried to block State Minister Panneerselvam's car but were dispersed by police.
