With many places in Nilgiris District experiencing incessant rains for the last few days, the wall of a government primary school building, about 30 km from here, caved in today, police said.
The side wall of the school building, which was wet, caved in, in the early hours, resulting in the roof covered with zinc sheet and tiles also coming down, police said.
However, no one was injured in the incident, they said.
Heavy rain in the district has resulted in increase in the inflow of water in dams and ponds, police added.
