Was in protection of paternal figure: Timothee Chalamet on working with Steve Carell

Actor Timothee Chalamet has said that during the filming of "Beautiful Boy" he found a "paternal figure" in co-star Steve Carell.
The "Call Me By Your Name" star plays Carell's son in the Felix Van Groeningen's English-language directorial debut "Beautiful Boy".
The film deals with the strained relationship between a father and his teenage son who is suffering from meth addiction.
"I've been watching Steve for seven years on TV. I had to audition a couple times for this, and the last time I went in was with Steve," Chalamet, 22, told The Hollywood Reporter.
"Obviously I play his son in this film, but immediately I felt like I was in the protection of a paternal figure," he added.
The film recently had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
