Silver prices fell by 0.60 per cent to Rs 36,295 per kg in futures trade in evening session today after speculators lightened positions amid a weak trend overseas.
The exchange opened for the evening session as it remained closed in the morning for 'Ganesh Chaturthi'.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month March fell by Rs 218, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 36,295 per kg in a business turnover of 32 lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in December declined by Rs 198, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 35,581 per kg in 1,309 lots.
Analysts said a weak trend in global markets before the Federal Reserve's decision on interest-rate mainly influenced silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver declined 0.20 per cent to USD 14.90 an ounce in London.
