Woman accused of murdering SP leader surrenders in court

A woman accused in the murder case of a SP leader, dodged police and surrendered before the district court here today.

Hima Khan, clad in burqa, gave the police a slip who were posted outside the court to nab her, and surrendered before the court in a case related to the murder of SP leader Anil Yadav.

Anil Yadav, a local Samajwadi Party leader, was found dead at Sector 71 plot on April 20.

Police initially suspected suicide, but his brother Sunil Yadav lodged murder case against Hima. He claimed she was having property and financial deals with Anil and he suspected that she had got him killed.
 

Hina had earlier moved an application before the district court through her advocate even as policemen in plain clothes were keeping an eye to nab her.

She dodged the police and appeared the before Chief Judicial Magistrate court which sent her to judicial custody.

Police said they would seek her police custody to interrogate her.
